In 2009, CAS was certified by the Texas Historical Commission as a Curatorial Facility. The Curatorial Facility currently houses over 100 archaeological collections, Held-in-Trust for the State of Texas. Additionally, CAS provides a variety of training opportunities for students at Texas State University, including volunteerism, research opportunities, student employment opportunities, and internships.
